About
Who We Are
Founded on the belief that every mobile phone can be a tool to build democracy, amandla.mobi is a growing movement led by low-income Black women shifting power toward a just, equitable South Africa.
What We Do
amandla.mobi has developed a systematic methodology for advocacy, which we use to mobilise the collective voice of our movement at critical moments through targeted, coordinated and strategic campaigns that catalyse tangible change for millions of people impacted by injustice.
How We Do It
amandla.mobi harnesses mobile connectivity to organise, unify and amplify the voices of those most impacted by injustice and equip members of our movement with the tools and strategies to take collective action. As our nearly one-million strong movement works together to sign petitions, participate in demonstrations and enable grassroots participation, we effectively reach decision makers who have the power to drive change – and hold them to account. Together, we dig-in to make sure the door never swings shut and our advocacy never stops – whether by escalating public pressure or moving campaign momentum across issues.
